SunGard Front Arena’s development team is looking for a senior Business Analyst who is passionate about providing the best software solutions for FX and MM trading at major global financial institutions. This role is truly demanding and the candidate must be ambitious, self-motivated and have a unique ability to understand how to translate the needs for ease of use, speedy pricing and built-for-purpose-workflow into great software that will ensure Front Arena becomes the best next generation FX and MM trading software from any vendor. Your experience and willingness to travel should allow you to contribute from day one but you will be working with many individuals from whom you will learn rapidly on the job. The role will be based in Stockholm as that is where our main development centre is.
The main responsibility of the role is to lead the development of next generation FX functionality for global major financial institutions as part of a dynamic development team that already services a global client base of cross asset customers by:
- Helping the team to crystallize, communicate and execute on elements of the long term strategy for FX and MM.
- Produce software development specifications to drive highly motivated developers to deliver.
- Help deploy the resulting software within key projects as necessary.
Krav på person
You have a degree level education and at least three years direct FX Software experience in a major institution or vendor serving such institutions possibly as ex-trader, trader support or software specialist with relevant direct experience. It is an advantage if you have an understanding of the competitive landscape for FX software and proven ability to drive software development through specification or direct development team leadership. You also need a vision of what cutting edge FX software should do for traders in Tier One institutions.
You are fluent in English and Swedish and have the ability to write functional specifications and, ideally, business justifications for their execution.
As a Development Business Analyst in a client focused role you need excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You are prepared to spend periods of time travelling and possibly working abroad. You also possess excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset. You need to demonstrate exceptional understanding of software development required to meet the demands of end users and have the ability to connect with senior traders on their terms and engage with their business needs.
